Mini Art Book Camp

Session 1: June 22-25, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Session 2: July 13-16, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

This four-day mini camp for ages 4-7 will include fun paper projects including marbling, stamping and painting that will then be made into a mini art book, ready for your child’s stories and drawings. Instructor: Betty Gay. All materials included. $75 registration

3D Art Camp

June 28 – July 2, 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

Various types of 3-dimensional (sculpture) art will be explored using cardboard, wire and paper. Project will include a paper lantern, wearable art, piñatas, and other types of sculpture. Ages 7-11. $225 registration. Instructor: Alicia van de Bor.

STEAM Sewing Camp

July 5 – 9, 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. 

Basic sewing course where students learn to operate a sewing machine. After sewing a fabric mask, some electronics, like a battery, control board (Arduino) and LED’s added. Students will learn to follow a pattern, and also create their own designs. Ages 7-11. $245 registration. Instructor: Sander van de Bor

Printmaking Camp

July 19-23, 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. 

Explore a variety of printmaking techniques including monotype, relief, drypoint and collagraph. Ages 7-11,  $225 registration. Instructor: Alicia van  de Bor

Nature Art Camp

July 26 – 30, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Create a multitude of nature and animal themed art projects! Materials will include painting (watercolor and tempera), drawing, sculpture (paper maché and polymer clay) and more. Ages 7-11. $200 registration, materials included. Instructors: Linda Knoll, Susan Rossmann

Come and explore creative stations set up in our education center. In this non-instructional format, you’re free to draw, paint and make whatever you like with support from our staff.  Children must be accompanied by an adult. Materials included, $5 per person, per day. NO REGISTRATION NECESSARY.

Kids’ Birthday Parties

2 hour sessions by appointment

We can set up our classroom to accomodate up to 10 guests for a fun art-themed birthday party or scout project. Choose your art project on most any theme. A two-hour block can be scheduled with an artist facilitator for an art project and enough time for cake after. Fee $200,  materials included. You can decorate 1/2 hour prior. Scout Badges and Projects

Our classroom can accomodate up to 10 guests for a troop or group of Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts. Choose your art project on any theme or badge for any level.  A two-hour block can be scheduled with a teaching artist for $10 per scout, plus materials. For Teens/Adults

Latex Mask Making

Thurs/Fri July 1/2: 1-4 p.m., Sat July 3: 1-5p.m.

Thurs/Fri/Sat July 15/16/17: 1-4 p.m.

Each student will have the opportunity to create a unique and custom latex mask with techniques and materials used in film, theater and the haunt industries. The styles will range from fantasy to horror. Each student will be able to learn a skill set upon which they can later grow. Ages 12 and up. Please be aware that this class is NOT for students sensitive to horror themes. Instructor: April Gutierrez 

Sessions are divided into two 3-day parts (6 classes total) to allow material drying time. You must attend both parts.

ALLERGY WARNING: Students will be in direct contact with latex.

Ekphrastic Poetry Workshop

Join poets debee loyd and Gordon Preston as they explore the power of writing poetry inspired by works of art. They’ll use the current gallery show as inspiration, and help participants craft poetry from their own response. No registration necessary. FREE.

Mosaic with Karen Kingsbury

Saturday, July 24 10:00 a.m. – 4 p.m. AND

Sunday, July 25 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Join Karen Kingsbury in this fun beginners class in glass and pique assiette (broken dishes) mosaic. Karen will provide a base, and all materials for assembling and grouting your project in a step by step process. $100 registration fee, plus $25 material fee paid to instructor on the first day of class. Adult only. Must attend both days – Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 10-1.

Wine Painting with Chris Obers

Friday, June 25, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Join artist and instructor, Chris Obers, for a glass of wine while you paint with wine! Learn the basic techniques for painting with this fun, water-based medium. Price includes 1 glass of wine + wine for painting with. Participants bring their own brushes, watercolor paper and water jar. Maximum 8 participants, adults only. $50 registration.

Private “Paint and Sip” Parties

Our classroom can accomodate up to 10 guests for a fun paint night out with friends. Choose your art project on almost any theme. $40 per person includes canvas and paint. Minimum 4 participants. Figure Drawing Drop-In Each Wednesday, 7 – 9 p.m.

Join us for informal, non-instructional life drawing sessions with a nude model. This is a weekly drop-in group, $10 per night. Bring your own supplies and easel (tables are available). No registration necessary, over 18 only.
