Musician – Artist – Poet
Annette has always been interested in the Arts. At age 16, her first job was a fashion illustrator at Jedwins in Ogden, Utah. She later worked as a cutter and photographic catalog model at Twentieth Century and a runway model at Woolen Mills. As a talented pianist, she played for her church and gave piano and organ lessons from her home in Escalon for many years. She started painting for her own enjoyment in the mid 70’s when she took a variety of classes as MJC. She enjoyed acrylic painting most, but has also dabbled in watercolor, drawing, mixed media, printmaking and oil. She was a member and past president of the Valley Art Association (VAA) and was a member of the Central California Art League (CCAL) for 10 years, serving as a program manager when the league met in the basement of the old Modesto Library. Her work has earned many prizes and honors over the years. She currently enjoys reading and excels at writing poetry and short stories.
